1. Overview

Thai Romance Translator ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (spoiler: almost none), how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Specifically:

• We do not require any account, login, or registration.
• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information.
• We do not store your translations on any server. Each translation request is processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
• We do not track your location.
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels.
• We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

3. Translation Processing

When you translate text, your input is sent to a secure server (Supabase Edge Function) which forwards it to the Google Gemini AI API for translation. The text is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers or on Google's servers beyond the immediate processing of the request. No conversation history is maintained.

4. Voice / Microphone

The App requests microphone permission only for the Voice Mode feature (Speech-to-Text). Audio is processed locally on your device using Apple's Speech Framework (iOS) or Android's built-in speech recognition. Audio is never sent to our servers.

5. Usage Limits

Daily usage limits (number of translations, voice minutes, listen plays) are tracked locally on your device only using on-device storage (UserDefaults on iOS, DataStore on Android). This data never leaves your device.

6. In-App Purchases

Premium subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not process or store any payment information. Subscription status is verified through Apple StoreKit 2 or Google Play Billing.

7. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — Hosts our Edge Functions (translation API). No user data is stored.
• Google Gemini AI — Processes translations. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple / Google — Handles payments and app distribution.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
